Technical Expedition
Illampu (6360m), 'The Strong' in Aymara, is one of the most difficult mountains in Bolivia. It requires great physical and technical capacity to overcome slopes of up to 65° in snow and ice, offering the best views of the Cordillera Real and Lake Titicaca.

Expedition
ARRIVAL IN LA PAZ
Transfer from El Alto airport to hotel in La Paz.
TIAHUANACO
Acclimatization day visiting the archaeological site of Tiahuanaco.
LA PAZ - SORATA (2800M)
Private transport trip to Sorata, at the foot of great Illampu. Overnight in lodge.
SORATA - BASE CAMP (4600M)
4h hike from Lakatiya to "Aguas Calientes" valley, our base camp.
BASE CAMP - HIGH CAMP (5500M)
Approach and climbing (grade 3°-4°) to install the high camp at Schulze peak.
ILLAMPU SUMMIT (6360M)
Summit attack with slopes of 60°-65°. Views of Titicaca and the Amazon. Return to base camp.
BASE - SORATA - LA PAZ
Descent to Lakatiya and private transfer back to La Paz.
